good morning, everyone, i'm so glad to be here and make a presentation. before my presentation, isquo;d like to ask you some quertions.do you know li na,the famous tennis athlete in china? how much do you know about her?
i am sure that many students who have watched the australian tennis championship on cctv 5 during winter break. so today, i would like to talk about my thoughts of this game.
on january 24, li na won over sharapova in the women' s singles final. this is the third time that li na has gone into the grand slam finals. once again, on january 26, li na went against a new opponent name azarenka. on that day of the game, li na was in the leadin the first inning, but during the second inning, she accidently fell down twice. people were shocked and sad about how she could not continue the game. but because of the people being worried, she doggedly continue the game, making the audience cheer and applauding her for her effort to continue her game. a t that time ,audience applauded foe her persistence.although she lost the game, her hard effort and insistency moved us and motivated us.
and this case also appreaded in tthe men singles final the next day. two opponents named murray and djokovic were against each other. due to the game, murray's foot had blisters that affected the way he played. the doctor had to treat his wound with medicine. as human beings, if we had blisters on our foot, we may feel a lot of pain and don't want to walk. however, as an athlete, murray had to withstand the pain and strive for the victory.
as far as isquo;m concerned, for professional athletes, games have become a part of their life. they fight inthe match, fight for their dream, and enjoy thir games
as students, studying is a part of our life.i know we may be confronted with many different kinds of problems, have you ever wangted to give it up? on the one hand, when i faced with difficulties,i felt sad and didnsquo;t want to continue,on the other hand ,i would tell myself that:he who can sndure the greatest hardships will be the greatest among men.so to my way of thinking, on the road of studying, we need to learn how to keep ourself motivated and continue studying and learn how to make studying a better way to enjoy rather then boring ourself out.
good afternoon, dear teachers and friends!
i' m happy to make a speech here. thank you for your coming. now, the topic for my speech today is western festivals. i would like to talk about christmas.
christmas is originally a christian festival, as you can see from the formation of this word, christ-mas. the first part of the word refers to jesus christ, and the second part mas comes from the word mass, referring to a main religious ceremony in some christian churches. at first, it was celebrated for the birth of jesus christ. nowadays, although some churches still observe this festival for its religious reason, for most people, including chinese people, christmas has already become a day of secular celebrations, when people exchange greetings and gifts. however, it is still a biggest festival in the west. it is as important to the westerners as the spring festival is to the chinese people.
christmas day is on the 25th of december, and christmas eve is of course the evening of the previous day, the 24th december.
christmas holiday usually lasts for two weeks, during which most schools have a christmas break. many families put the christmas tree in their house, and hang many decorations on the tree. under the tree, they usually place many christmas presents. giving out presents and receiving presents are what kids like best about this festival.
on christmas eve, kids would put stockings at the end of their bed, wishing the santa claus would come and give them presents.
as to the tradition of giving and receiving presents in christmas, i think it has something to do with the nativity story. in the nativity story, on the birthday of baby jesus, there was a bright star shining in the east. there were three kings in the east who saw the star, and they followed the star all the way to bethlehem where the star stopped. they came to a manger where baby jesus was lying. they worshiped the little baby and gave him presents. i think this is a beautiful story. it shows a spirit of sharing and love.
i like christmas for the presents kids will receive and for its lovely story.
thank you very much!
in my 18 years of life, there have been many things. university days are the best part of them. i can never forget the days when i stepped into my university. i was impressed by its garden-like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere. i at once fell in love with it.
after the arduous military training, i get absolutely absorbed in my studies. the classes given by the teachers are excellent. they provide us with information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well. they easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as i can.
frankly speaking, at first i had some difficulty following the teachers. however, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, i made remarkable progress. now i've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.
learning is a long process; i'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself. this summer i got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. a publishing house offered me a part-time job in compilation and revision.
at the beginning i was belittled by my colleagues. but they were really surprised when i translated seven english articles over 5,000 words on only one day. gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. in their opinion i turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.
i also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy. so i often take part in activities concerning public welfare. i once went to a barren mountain village with my classmates. we taught the kids there who could not afford school. while showing them how broad and how civilized the outer world is, i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, their honesty and their purity. i couldn't control my tears on the day when we left. the precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us, future teachers.
bessides study and social practice, there are entertainments as well. i do body building every day, hoping to keep healthy and energetic. we also write a play and put it on in our spare time.
campus life is the most splendid time. but different people have different choices. the majority of students cherish their beautiful season and cherish the hope that one day they'll become outstanding. but there are indeed some students still under ignorance. they gather together for eating, drinking or playing cards. they're busy in searching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend. they forget completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their motherland.
finally, i do hope everybody can try their best to become a worthy citizen of the country. i do hope everybody can become the backbone of our nation and make great contributions to society!
as you slowly open your eyes, look around , notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in the air. yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day! and most importantly, it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level! you know all this is real as long as you are confident, passionate and committed! and you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!
you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions. you will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take. you will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. you will never succumb to challenges of hardships. you will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. after all,you are the best, and you deserve the best!
as your coach and friend, i can assure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your hand. you must do your part, you must faithfully follow the plans you make and take the actions you plan, you must never quit, you must never fear. i know you must do it, you can do it, you will do it, and you will succeed!
now stand firm and tall, make a fist, get excited, and yell it out: i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed! i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed! i must do it! i can do it! i will do it! i will succeed!
good afternoon!
recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?
the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.
dear teachers, dear students:
hello everyone!
the topic of my speech is "the hardness of life"
the vast desert, a tree stand, the show is a monument to the image.
towering mountains, thousands of tree stand up, as is a magnificent the great wall.
the long river, all the trees stood up into a dragon of glory.
we are a symbol of too much, and too much. but i believe that my image is not "the gentlest hands, skin, such as diorskin" lin daiyu, nor is the modern "unkempt and shabby", "su qier". we are a symbol of hope and vitality. so we show in front of others should be inserted without pleats, face without scale, modest and polite gestures exudes a stream of heroic spirit, the image of the vigor and vitality of the modern new youth, a into the embodiment of the spirit of nature.
someone once said, life is a kind of hardness, integrity and dignity of life is propped up the hardness of bone. "better life" and "the kui back in the day, and not ashamed on the ground", which is always the traditional virtue of the china. li bai's "the eyebrow nengcui zheyaoshan powerful thing, so that i may not be happy yan" this awe inspiring atmosphere of the verse and whether it will make those no self-esteem people to shame? loss of self-esteem is a worthless person, and we as the vanguard of the times, if drown in the darkness forever, or to do a dauntless hero, a flower in the wind and rain sonorous rose. the answer is self-evident.
desert desolate also has the monument stands, castle peak again proud, but also have the great wall around, the river again quiet, also there is a dragon in the recumbent. but the time can be changed, our image, our glory remains the same. because we pride, because we are confident, because we have a fresh life. and because of this, it is a vast desert riparian long, qingshan was evergreen, the hardness of life is forever.
the love between family members is precious only when we areparted, maybe.the love between my father and me is clearer, only
when it is conducted by a three-thousand-kilometre-long phone line, and onlythen the bad time when we had some argument between us. these past few years, ifelt regret for not understanding my dad for so long.if only i were a good boy!my dad didn't demand that i should be very good at studying, never.he just hopedthat i could live creatively.in my life,he sets a good example for me andteaches me how to study, how to be a good man and how to live in the world!
failure is common in our real life.it is somthing that inevitable toeveryone.but people's attitudes failure differ.
to those pessimists, failure is just like a mountain lies before them andprevent them from walking forward.when they face it,they give up easily.only onefailure is enough to make them feel sad, lose their hearts.as a result, they won'ttry again.in other words, they have been beaten by the failure totally.however tothose optimists, the attitude is quite opposite.in their eyes, one failure doesn'tmean anything, for it's just an experience that unavoidable on their way to thesuccess.knowing this, therefore, they will never complain od feel sad.what theywill do is to calm down and find out the causes of their failures, then analysethem in order to avoid making the same mistake.
in my view, of course,i tend to the second attitude.actually, failure is akind of required course in our life.it is not an end but a start for us as longas we make good use of it.thus, don't give up and give in.remember, failureitself is not fearful.what matters is your attitudes towardsit.and?fragile.theyill?lose?in?great?pain?even?suicide.?at?this?questionhich?argument?is?reasonable,i?have?my?own?ideas.at?first,i?hate?failure.but?gold?take?no?cares?ande?always?be?a?loser?at?last.however,we?cannot?be?beat?by?the?failure,we?should?find?the?problem?solution?on?the?basic?of?failure?and?overcome?the?difficulty.?only?in?thisay?can?the?failure?play?a?good?role.
